The Yardstick Institute Retreat
About the project
The Yardstick Institute was born in 2022 as an extension of Yardstick’s management consulting practice. The Institute was designed as an immersive leadership experience for executives, thought leaders, and change agents who wanted to reimagine what leadership could (and should) look like. Through workshops, panels, and moments of reflection, the multi-day events unpack some of the core principles of management consulting in real time, offering participants the tools to accelerate results while deepening their impact.
The 2025 iteration, hosted at Lone Rock Retreat, centered on the theme “Leadership in a Polarized Climate”—a response to the shifting realities of DEI programs, the rise of AI, trade tensions, and a culture of constant disruption. With that in mind, I partnered with Yardstick to shape the event’s creative direction, brand messaging, and promotional copy, from social campaigns and email marketing to the thematic direction for each speaker.
This project offered me a chance to amplify the human side of leadership, exploring how organizations and their leaders can navigate conflict, difference, and change in ways that foster understanding, rather than division.

I designed a one-sheet that brought the Yardstick Institute to life on paper—a quick, compelling snapshot of the event’s theme, speakers, and purpose.

From speaker spotlights to behind-the-scenes clips, each post built anticipation, clarified the intent of the Institute, and deepened audience engagement—before, during, and after the event.

I crafted succinct, eye-catching copy for posters displayed throughout the venue. Each design balanced aesthetic impact with clarity of message, guiding attendees to key locations while distilling essential information at a glance.

Sizzle Video
I partnered with the production team to create a sizzle reel that we could debut at the event in order to encourage repeat attendance to the next Institute. Through dynamic editing, thoughtful sound design, and authentic storytelling, we turned the Institute’s mission into a visual narrative that captured the essence of the Yardstick Institute and moved audiences to action.

We compiled a post-event impact report that translated the outcomes into a clear narrative—merging data, testimonials, and visuals to illustrate how the Institute sparked real change. The report served as both documentation and inspiration for continued partnership and growth.
